Paul Henry - HIRING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payments
A 25% initial deposit is required for all events within 7 days of the invoice being issued. Deposits secure the booking and are non-refundable and non-returnable in most cases; the corresponding exceptions are detailed in “Quotes, Changes and Cancellations”. Please note that if you wish to cancel the show, an additional charge may apply in accordance with our cancellation policy (see “Quotes, Changes and Cancellations” below). The remaining 75% must be paid by bank transfer within 24 hours after the event using the payment details provided on your invoice.
Quotes, Changes and Cancellations
Any quote provided is valid for 28 days. If you wish to confirm a quote after that period, it may be necessary to issue a new one.
Cancellation fees apply on a variable scale due to the seasonality of Paul Henry’s work. This is solely to protect against natural fluctuations in workload and pricing throughout the year, as it becomes increasingly difficult to secure new bookings as the event date approaches in case of a cancellation.
If you wish to cancel your booking for any reason within three months prior to the event date, 25% of the remaining balance must be paid. If the cancellation occurs within 30 days prior to the event, 50% of the remaining balance must be paid. If you cancel within 14 days of the event, 100% of the remaining balance must be paid.
Date changes are subject to availability and potential additional fees. If a date change is not possible, the booking will be handled according to the cancellation policy.
In the event of cancellation by the client where additional payments have already been made (excluding the initial deposit), part of the amount may be retained if Paul Henry has incurred any expenses directly related to that booking.
Failures and Liability Limits
In the highly unlikely event that Paul Henry is unable to provide the booked service due to illness or other exceptional circumstances, he will make every effort to secure another trusted artist whom Paul considers suitable and competent to deliver a performance of the same standard. If this is not possible, Paul’s liability will be limited to refunding all payments received for that event, with no further liability required. In cases of cancellation due to force majeure (including, but not limited to, war, fire, government policies, orders of public authorities, mechanical failures, or strikes), Paul cannot be held responsible for non-attendance.
Cooperation
Paul Henry always strives to behave professionally, kindly, and courteously, and expects the same from you and your guests. It is advisable to designate someone close (a contact person, maid of honour, sibling, etc.) to point out important guests for special performances or photographs.
Exclusivity (Photos and Videos)
Paul Henry does not mind if your guests take photos during the performances as long as they do not interfere with what he is doing. Guests are asked not to record videos of the performance unless previously agreed between Paul Henry, you, and any official videographer (if one has been hired for the event). Paul Henry may ask guests to refrain from taking photos if they are obstructing or otherwise hindering the performance.
General
Please provide water or soft drinks to Paul Henry while he is at your event. There is no obligation to provide food; however, the gesture is appreciated if you have booked Paul for an event lasting more than 3 hours. If you do not wish to provide food, please notify Paul Henry at least one week in advance so he can plan accordingly.
Please provide Paul Henry with the full address of the event. He cannot be held responsible if he gets lost due to incorrect information. If possible, also ensure a parking space is available for Paul Henry at the event location.
Any cancellation must be made through direct communication with Paul Henry (by phone or email). Paul Henry will confirm the cancellation in writing via email. Voicemail messages are not accepted as valid notification.
Paul Henry reserves the right to prevent certain individuals or groups from participating in his performances if he deems it necessary to protect his equipment or materials, or if he feels they are engaging in any form of abusive behaviour. Any material or personal damage caused by any person or group at your event will be invoiced to the client to cover repair or replacement costs, ensuring proper functionality for future performances.
